Yet for your sakes

2 Corinthians 8:9
9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich,
yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Isaiah 53:10
10Yet it PLEASED the LORD to BRUISE Him;
He has put Him to grief.

IT PLEASED THE FATHER TO BRUISE HIS ONLY SON FOR YOU!

Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And
bled for Adam’s helpless race.

I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus, the Nazarene,
and wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!
(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)

For me it was in the garden He prayed:  "Not My will, but Thine."
He had no tears for His own griefs but sweatdrops of
blood for mine.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!
(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)

In pity, angels beheld Him and came from the world of light
to comfort Him in the sorrows He bore for my soul that night.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!
(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)

He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv'ry, and suffered and died alone.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!
(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)

When, with the ransomed in glory, His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy thro' the ages to sing of His love for me.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!
(Oh how marvelous!  Oh, how wonderful!)
