Mark 16:6-7
6But
he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was
crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
7But go, tell His disciples--and Peter--that He is going before you into
Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."

Corinthians 15:3-8
3For
I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for
our sins according to the Scriptures, 4and that He was buried, and
that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and
that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6After that He was
seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to
the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7After that He was seen by
James, then by all the apostles. 8Then last of all He was seen by me
also, as by one born out of due time.
HIS RESURRECTION WAS PROPHESIED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT MANY, MANY YEARS BEFORE HIS BIRTH:
Psalm 16:10
10For
You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
Psalm 49:15
15But
God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave,
For He shall receive me. Selah
APPLICATION TO BELIEVERS:
Romans 6:4
4Therefore
we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life.
Colossians 3:1-4
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2Set your
mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For you died, and
your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ who is our life
appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Christ, the
Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Love’s
redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun’s eclipse is over, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!
Vain the
stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!
Lives again
our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now
where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
Hail, the
Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection day, Alleluia!
King of
glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!
Hymns of
praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!
But the pains
that He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!
Jesus Christ
is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!
