A Rebuke to Unbelief in Prayer

13And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, "Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' 14Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."  Genesis 18:13-14
19Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"

20So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.  Matthew 17:19-20

58Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbeliefMatthew 13:58

6But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.  James 1:6-8

8... Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"  Luke 18:8

6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is [He exists], and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Hebrews 11:6
